ANTIWRINKLE INJECTIONS

Botulinum toxin (‘’Botox®’’) is a popular treatment for reducing the appearance of wrinkles. It blocks the nerve impulse to the muscle injected reducing the ability of that muscle to contract (tighten) as forcefully, causing the wrinkles to relax and soften.

Common treatment areas include forehead lines, frown lines, crows feet, bunny lines (lines along the nose), chin (for dimpling), skin bands in the neck and around the mouth (for smokers lines and downturned corners of the mouth).

EXCESSIVE PERSPIRATION (HYPERHIDROSIS)

Hyperhidrosis is a condition characterised by abnormally increased sweating in excess of that required for body temperature regulation. The distress and embarrassment caused by this can negatively impact on quality of life from an emotional, psychological and social perspective.

Botulinum toxin injections are a treatment option for people with hyperhidrosis. Botulinum toxin works by blocking the nerves responsible for activating sweat glands. However, Botox® only prevents sweating in the specific area where it’s injected.

DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers are small injections of gel typically containing hyaluronic acid, an important building block of the skin’s structure. Hyaluronic acid draws moisture into the tissues plumping them and easing out wrinkles thereby promoting a youthful look.

Fillers can significantly improve fine lines, deep facial creases, nasolabial folds and marionette lines. There are several specifications of filler available each one unique in its viscosity (thickness and consistency) to meet a variety of different aesthetic needs.

LIP AUGMENTATION

Lips are often left out of the anti-ageing conversation yet they can frequently expose your age. Reduced lip volume and lines around the mouth are some of the earliest signs of ageing. Temporary lip fillers are an ideal option to volumise and re-contour ageing lips.

PROFHILO®

As we age our skin becomes thinner and loses its natural elasticity and lustre leaving it looking tired, crepe-like and dull. Profhilo® is a unique injectable skin bio-remodelling agent which boosts and hydrates the skin while stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. This results in a noticeable improvement in skin elasticity, texture, hydration, firmness and radiance.

Profhilo® is hyaluronic acid based however the innovative technology behind Profhilo® allows it to maintain its stability without the use of chemicals (BDDE cross-linking agents) found in other hyaluronic acid based products. Being free from additives and having a high level of purity makes it safer to use and reduces the chance of side effects. The full treatment consists of two sessions one month apart with optimal results seen two months after the second treatment has been administered. Profhilo® is ideal for areas that are traditionally more difficult to treat including the crepey skin on knees, upper arms, décolletage, neck and face.

PRX-T33

For those who wish to avoid needles PRX-T33 is a biorevitalisation treatment uniquely formulated with trichloroacetic acid(TCA), kojic acid and low dose hydrogen peroxide.

The hydrogen peroxide ‘protects’ the tissues and allows the TCA to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin where it enhances its ability to stimulate fibroblasts and collagen in a regenerative process that promotes skin tightening and improved hydration and firmness. The healing response begins and is accompanied by a visible improvement immediately after the treatment – but with no pain or downtime. Despite containing similar ingredients to a chemical peel, treatments can be done at any time of the year as it is not photosensitising and there is no associated peeling and redness. It is ideal for loss of firmness of the skin on the face and chest, firming of the skin on breasts and depressed scars.

PRX-T33 is an effective stand-alone treatment but for enhanced results it can also be used in combination with other aesthetic treatments in particular skin microneedling. Weekly sessions of up to six weeks may be necessary for skin showing a greater degree of ageing.

SKIN MICRONEEDLING

Skin needling is a well-established treatment for skin repair, restructuring and rejuvenation. During the procedure the Dermaroller™ device is rolled over your skin allowing numerous ultra-fine micro-needles, designed to penetrate through the epidermis, to create microscopic punctures on the skin’s surface.

By opening the skin in this way you not only dramatically increase the penetration of any topical product, increasing its efficacy, but you also create miniature perforations that stimulate the skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally and safely.
